The Founder
With over 25 years of experience in high-end luxury interiors, Janice Barta brings an artistic sensibility, global perspective and deeply personal approach to her work as founder and principal designer of Barta Interiors.
Janice began her career at an architecture firm in Milan, Italy, before moving to New York City to work alongside prominent designers. She later relocated to Los Angeles, working with one of the nation's leading interior designers before establishing Barta Interiors nearly 15 years ago.
Inspired by art, architecture, travel and a lifelong love of drawing, Janice approaches each project with a curated eye and an appreciation for craftsmanship.
Her work has earned inclusion in the 2018 LUXE Gold List, and features in Objekt and ELLE DECOR and recognition as a featured designer on Architectural Digest's AD PRO. She recently expanded her creative vision with the opening of a showroom and shop in Culver City.
Committed to industry leadership and community, Janice is actively involved with AAPIDA Los Angeles and is a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA).
Believing that the most beautiful interiors are deeply personal, Janice blends artistry, timeless design and thoughtfully collected elements to create distinctive spaces that reflect each client's individuality and the way they live.
